Packaging
When I was out shopping, I noticed this product of fruit rolls for kids. Personally I thought the packaging looked visually interesting and served its purpose of the target audience. They were bright so kids would favour in this and comes in different flavours to which the colour matched its flavour. The design language is child friendly as it states ‘with no added nonsense’ instead...
Design for Editorial
Here is one design I have created using my thumbnails. It’s just a starting point on my iMac in ‘Indesign’ but I am liking the graffiti text and the layout of the body copy.
Final Logo Development For The Branding Of...
I have decided to go through with my origami design. I wanted to show a progressive flexible economy on my branding for The City of Wolverhampton. The picture above is development of a 3D origami ‘W’ letterform in which this shows the flexible in the strapline. The arrow is to state progression within the economy in how Wolverhampton is advancing itself. I did many drawings on...
Rebranding Wolverhampton
Linking my research and my ideas together. These were some of the designs I came up with for the brief, which was to design a new brand logo and animate for the city of Wolverhampton. I am happy with some of the ones I have developed as I was struggling at first, but now feel I know which concept I will follow to continue with.

'You need me man, I don't need you'
Just something I did in my spare time whilst I was listening to the song by Ed Sheeran. I wanted to combine image with text, needs more improvement though.

'The Strokes'
One of the bands I’m very into at the minute, in my spare time I decided to design a logo on Illustrator using the knowledge I’ve learnt in Typography. This is what I came up with - a simple but yet modern design which I felt related to their music.
I started with the same design again but this time adding a brush stroke around the border. In black and white and vice versa. I...

'Why Walk?' Leaflet
A brief given to us in Typography, we were asked to design a 12 page leaflet (6 page back and front) to advertise ‘Sustrans, Why walk?’ We were given a copy of the text and I as a designer needed to have made this leaflet for families look interesting to read. No images were allowed and only 2 types of any font (serif and san serif) although any colour scheme could be...

Printmaking
A brief given to us for Visual Communication Skills. I was asked to pick an image based around the year 1970 and I decided on the Apollo 13 logo. I thought it was quite a simple design to choose and the key lines are visible. I edited this with a 1970’s font and included the date and time the rocket launched. I am happy with how this turned out considering how much help I needed in the...

Editorial Design
This brief was a recent one for illustration. I was asked to respond to the article from ‘The Guardian’ newspaper. In the article it states how people can be selfish by jumping queue’s and putting your bags onto spare seats on public transport. I wanted to show the bad person in the article which was a businessman by overcoming him jumping over his belonging’s as if they...
Typography Idea's
These are 3 of my idea’s for typography that show a double page layout, I have been working on these since Semester 2. They were originally worked on A3 but I decided to set them out onto 2 A4 sheets so I know where my gutters are. I am quite happy with these as I have improved on them since my last tutorial session.
The Maine!
I’d say my most favourite indie band. I felt that The Maine should be apart of my blog as they have became very inspirational to my work and I love listening to their music. These were some photo’s I had taken when I went to see them at Birmingham on my 19th birthday.
Magazine Double Page Spread
This was a project I did at College, it’s a double page spread of a magazine I designed for Newquay. I do like the pictures I took although the text is needing an improvement. At the time I thought the swirls I designed on Illustrator looked quite good although I’m starting to think different. I thought I’d put this up as now I’m doing Typography in Graphic’s I have...

Typography!
This is some of the work I have done in semester 2 in Typography at Uni. These are layouts we were asked to do, The top was a layout designed using the ‘grid method’ using the cut and paste method from magazines I chose. I do like the black, white and red tones in this, I tried experimenting using the alignments and texture. The bottom however was a set of 3 layouts to show they...
'Where I live'
The brief I was asked to do in Vis Comm at University. This was to create a response to where I live, I decided to do my island on my estate and my red brick road. I was trying to show how where I live is more peaceful compared to the busy city in Wolverhampton and my journey with the (red brick road) can be shown as an adventure. This is the image I came up with…
'crushcrushcrush'
The brief asked me to design a CD cover for an artist or band of my choice. I decided to choose the band ‘Paramore’ and the single ‘crushcrushcrush’ In the lyrics it states ‘they taped over your mouth, scribbled out the truth with their lies’ I had this idea of tape being a cassette over the mouth and I focused this more leaving out the identity of the girl. I...

'Lloyd's Illustration'
This was one of my final illustration’s for the Lloyd’s TSB Competition. I would like to put this through when I have time. This was based around the theme ‘we take ownership’ I thought of the lion in the animal Kingdom when deciding on a subject. The lion representing taking ownership of its pride, guarding, owning and taking responsibility of its pride and environment...
In my spare time I decided to draw this image of a zebra, I used watercolours and fine liner pen.

'Typeography Maralyn Monroe'
Sensational use of type to create a portrait of the famous Maralyn Monroe. I found this image online quite effective, the image is broken down into sections of typography.
'Abstract Portrait'
Using digital art and graphics to combine an abstract portrait, I found this image online because I really like the use of colour.

Abstract Picasso!
This was one of my versions of an abstract piece I wanted to create I used chalk on black paper :) this was drawn at college when we were asked to do life drawing. I wanted to show this in a slightly different way and break up the piece by separating the body parts into different sections, I had inspiration from Picasso. I was happy with the way this came up.
Celebrating Fairtrade!
This was an illustration I created for uni, my brief was to do an editorial design based around the theme ‘celebrating fairtrade’ for The Guardian newspaper article, the type was needing to be hand drawn also. I had this idea of a little worker helping out with the coca beans, they were scattered so I decided to incorporate the type into the chocolate powder. The pound sign...
